What You’ll Do
Your role is an imperative one in a highly regulated market. As the Compliance Manager, you are the direct link between strategy and execution. You will provide and maintain accurate regulatory guidance to support business operations and sales/marketing initiatives. It will be you that defines the parameters around which products can be developed and projects can be launched. You’ll also be expected to perform regular audits of business operations, including maintaining complete documentation, to ensure continued compliance with changing regulatory schemas.
The Compliance Manager represents Atlantic and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and clients when communicating to outside entities such as Public Utilities Commissioners (PUCs), utilities, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions (FERC), legal counsel, customers, etc. Applicants are thus expected to relay our company ideals while nurturing a strong attention to regulatory regimes and rules in all active markets, across multiple brands and products.

The job also includes leading a team of compliance specialists, ensuring all sales and business activities uphold the highest attention to quality, and maintaining a database of all customer contracts, including versioning. This role is responsible for leading new market entry with respect to forming necessary entities, obtaining requisite licenses, and ensuring utility set up and testing is completed as needed to serve load in the state. Within all active markets, the Compliance Manager is responsible for timely filing of all compliance reports, corporate filings, and other related filings to ensure continued compliance with all requirements for retail energy providers.

Your Skillset

• Analytical comprehension of state driven regulatory requirements with an ability to translate across departments, including tech, marketing, sales, and operations to support strategic initiatives.
• Ability to oversee response to customer complaints through several channels with an attention to each party’s legal rights, resolving the conflict, and mitigating escalation.
• Effective communication skills across multiple divisions of the business to ensure continued compliance in existing and forecasted business operations.
• Entrepreneurial instincts with a clear bias for informed decision making and a track record of leading new initiatives with limited oversight.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to organize, structure, and streamline processes.
• Self-starter and well organized individual capable of managing their own deadlines and schedule.
• A commitment to pave the way for change in an industry ripe for innovation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
